Youth

Sunday school for each age level is a big part of our care for youth. It consists of a Bible study or book study and prayer. Our chief purpose is making the bible more accessible and central for the Christian life. In addition to Sunday school, we encourage our youth to find local area youth groups such as the local Young Life Franklin County ministry. While these activities geared toward the youth at their age levels are important, we also encourage our youth to grow through being a part of the intergenerational life of our congregation. This allows for our youth to experience serving and studying God's Word alongside a wide variety of spiritually mature people and allows those people to get to know and take interest in our youth. Some opportunities for serving include assisting the church deacon with yardwork, assisting with Vacation Bible School in the summer, contributing ideas for and leading activities during church outreach events.

Special Events

Service events help model and teach service to Christ. Service activities have included things like cleaning at the Pregnancy Assistance Center, helping upkeep around the church facilities, and cutting firewood for folks in the congregation.
