The overall goal of the Women’s Ministry of New Port is to “Encourage women to grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ that they may glorify God and enjoy serving Him” (2 Peter 3:18, Shorter Catechism Q. #1). This is a goal of both study and action to allow women to “bring a deeper sense of community and compassion to our church”.
Various ministries have included prayer sisters, book/media library, meals ministry, church nursery, card ministry, phone tree/prayer chain, special fellowship events, outreach to the local Pregnancy Assistance Center and nursing homes.
The Women’s Bible Study meets the third Wednesday of every month. Currently we are studying the book of James: James, Walking in Wisdom by Lydia Brownback. Anyone is welcome at any time.
